Russia 24 broadcasted a new TV-programm about activity of Russian President Vladimir Putin. Last week he visited Kuzbass, Novosibirsk and had a rest in mountain of Sayany (South Siberia).

International EAEU specialized exhibition and forum Mining 2018 is to be held in Novosibirsk ExpoCenter (Novosibirsk, Russia) on 5–6 April 2018.

Mining 2018 is being organized by Ltd. Expocenter Siberia.

Mining 2018 is patronized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation and supported by the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, The Russian Export Center, the Export Support Center of Novosibirsk Region, the Administration of the Novosibirsk Region, and other agencies.

Experts presented new mining technologies at the international forum in Novosibirsk

Mining professionals came to Novosibirsk to discuss industry prospects. They reflected on their experience and new technologies at the international forum.

In emergency the phone will function and, moreover, will direct miners upwards. The technology was developed in Russia. Mining professionals at the exhibition: navigation systems, extraction equipment, heavy machinery.

Pavel Tiunov, reporter: ‘Over 100 mining companies are taking part in the forum. They came from all over Russia and abroad. Companies from USA, Germany, Spain, and Australia present their up-to-date solutions.’

Unlike, for instance, the neighboring Kemerovo Region, the Novosibirsk Region is not historically a mining territory. Nevertheless, Siberian Anthracite that extracts coal in the Iskitim District is said to be the world’s largest producer.

Sergey Kolomnikov, Vice CEO, Siberian Anthracite: ‘At the forum, we can promote ourselves, market our products, on one hand, and, on the other hand, learn about new technologies and new ideas for mining.’ Today, coal-mining plays an important role in the local economy, the Administration states.

Sergey Semka, the Minister of Industry of the Novosibirsk Region: ‘The company made a decision and set goals, set aims — twofold increase in extraction during the short period. In order to do this, the company developed new technologies.’

Coal of high purity. 97% is exported. The producer is one of the key regional taxpayers.

“Mining” in Novosibirsk

International specialized exhibition and forum Mining 2018 was held in Novosibirsk ExpoCenter on 5–6 April. The forum was visited by large Siberian and foreign companies that deal with mining. They discussed industrial problems and demonstrated state-of-the-art developments. Our contributor attended the forum as well.

Platform for exchange

According to the organizers, over 100 Russian and foreign companies (equipment makers, extracting enterprises, research institutes) took part in Mining 2018. The forum became a platform for experts and business to demonstrate state-of-the-art technologies and accomplishments, to exchange constructive opinions on further industry development, Besides, it contributed to co-operation between Russian and foreign companies, the organizers state.

Andrey Travnikov, acting Governor of the Novosibirsk Region, emphasized its significance.

‘I am glad that a wide range of participants have come to our forum, which will contribute to effective co-operation between Russian and foreign companies. Resulting proposals and recommendations are expected to be much in demand and open new opportunities for business’, he said.

Industrial safety was discussed at the forum. Vadim Golovko, Deputy Plenipotent Representative of the President of Russia in the Siberian Federal District, would like to find out what prevents exhibitors from improving coal extraction. First of all, need for altering laws and regulations to prevent methane explosions in the coal mines was mentioned.

Other issues mentioned by Vadim Golovko included personnel as well as mining effectiveness and efficiency. He also spoke on concerns of monoindustrial towns.

‘I must remember monoindustrial towns as they are numerous in the Siberian Federal District. The special Federal Program aims to create new jobs, attract investors, and form economic conditions in the monoindustrial towns. There are about 60 of them in the Siberian Federal District,’ stated Vadim Golovko.

The program is now implemented both federally and regionally.
